WORSHIP at REDEEMER

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

Join us Sunday morning for coffee hour at 9am followed by worship at 10:30am.As always, our Sunday worship will be streaming on zoom (passcode: Redeemer) and on Facebook Live. We will continue to have worship bulletins printed for worship, but you can also follow along online with our digital bulletin here or here.


MEMORIAL DAY WORSHIP with SALEM
This summer we will gather with our northside parish neighbors three times for collaborative worship. Our first summer gathering will be Memorial Day Sunday, May 28th, at Salem. So save the date! (4150 Dupont Ave N, Mpls MN)


CELEBRATING PRIDE in WORSHIP | June 4, 2023
We'll be celebrating our LGBTQIA2s+ neighbors and siblings on June 4th at the start of PRIDE Month! This will also be our first outdoor worship service of the summer, so plan to join us in the backyard!

After worship on June 4th we will celebrate Redeemer's anniversary with coffee, drinks, and sweets. If you'd like to help plan this special annual event, please contact Mary Britt.

MAY at REDEEMER

GEORGE FLOYD RISE & REMEMBER, MAY 25th-27th

George Floyd Global Memorial (GFGM) and the George Floyd Square community will host part of their 3rd Annual Rise & Remember celebration at 38th and Chicago in South Mpls, May 25-27th. Join us on May 25th for a candlelight vigil at George Floyd Square, and on May 27th for a host of family activities.

Planners are in need of volunteers for both events, so if you'd like to volunteer at any time over the weekend or donate supplies to the Kids Zone, please contact Pastor Jen.


MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, know that you are not alone. Helpful resources are available to you, like the new suicide or crisis line: 988. This Lifeline provides free and confidential support 24/7 for people in distress; prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones; and best practices for professionals in the United States. You can also find help through the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), with Minnesota-specific supports at www.namimn.org. Don't be afraid to reach out for help!  


MINNEAPOLIS AREA SYNOD CLIMATE & RACIAL JUSTICE EVENT

Come on over to Redeemer's backyard on Saturday, May 20th from 11:30am-2:30pm for a special event with the Minneapolis Area Synod. Join leaders and friends of the MAS organizing teams for a gathering to be in community and celebrate together at the close of legislative session. Be a part of the community gathered to celebrate our work on Restore the Vote, 100% Clean Energy, and more, and to continue to build our vision for what’s possible! SUMMERTIME at REDEEMER

WEDNESDAY EVENING COOKOUTS

Wednesday evening cookouts are back! Beginning June 7th and weekly through August 2nd, from 6-8pm, join us for our weekly backyard cookouts. We'll be teaming up with partner congregations and community organizations to serve up food, fun, and fellowship! If you'd like to volunteer, reach out to Manny Lewis, Trai Dunlap, or Pastor Jen.


2023 BLOCK PARTY ~ AUGUST 12th | 12-6pm

The BLOCK PARTY is back and we can't wait! Mark your calendar and plan to join us on August 12th from noon onward for a summer's end celebration with food, games, prizes, and so much more! Reach out to Manny Lewis, Trai Dunlap, or Pastor Jen for more information and to volunteer.


REDEEMER SUMMER CAMPS

J.A.M. Camp

June 26-29th | 8am-3:30pm daily**
Kindergarten ~ 5th Graders
$25 per participant

In collaboration with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Edina Community Lutheran Church, and Christ River of Life, campers will engage in activities surrounding topics of social Justice, Arts, and Music. Breakfast and lunch will be offered daily.

The whole family can join in! Volunteers are needed to serve as junior leaders (finishing 6th grade and older) and group leaders. Register below!

REDEEMER DANCE CAMP
6pm on Wednesday Evenings (10 weeks)
For kids ages 6 to 12 | $300 per camper

Send your kids to this summer’s Dance Camp! Each Wednesday evening at 6pm, children will begin to learn the joys of dance as they explore movement in this 45 minute class with Harrison neighbor Manny Bioh (he/they). We will emphasize teamwork and creativity with our young dancers as we will prepare a routine to share with the community across two performances at the end of summer.

REGISTER HERE NOW, and plan to drop the kids off for Dance Camp and join us in the backyard for our weekly cookout. The kids can join in the meal after class!


REDEEMER GOES TO FAMILY CAMP
Luther Park Camp | July 28-30th

Redeemer goes to camp! We invite families, individuals, couples, and families of all kinds to join us during session 5 at Luther Park Camp in Danbury, WI. You may opt to join the family camp programming, or you may create your own retreat. Either way, this is a wonderful opportunity to get away together, so register now and select your options that fit best you!
