SUNDAY, JUNE 4, 2023: CELEBRATING PRIDE in WORSHIP
We'll be celebrating our LGBTQIA2s+ neighbors and siblings on June 4th at the start of PRIDE Month! This will also be our first outdoor worship service of the summer, so plan to join us in the backyard!
After worship on June 4th we will celebrate Redeemer's 114th Anniversary with coffee, drinks, and sweets. If you'd like to help plan this special annual event, please reach out to Christine Garces.
SUNDAY, JUNE 11, 2023: CELEBRATING 2023 GRADUATES in WORSHIP
Join us as we celebrate and bless our 2023 graduates and those promoted to the next level of their education as they enter into a new chapter into their lives!
We will also be celebrating the baptism of Lucia Kay Riley Bingea during worship, so this service is not one to miss!
VOLUNTEER for WEDNESDAY EVENING COOKOUTS
Wednesday evening cookouts are back! Beginning June 7th and weekly through August 2nd, from 6-8pm, we'll be teaming up with partner congregations and community organizations to serve up food, fun, and fellowship at our weekly backyard cookouts. We need your help to make it happen! If you'd like to volunteer, reach out to Manny Lewis, Trai Dunlap, or Pastor Jen.

GEORGE FLOYD RISE & REMEMBER THIS WEEKEND
George Floyd Global Memorial (GFGM) and the George Floyd Square community are hosting part of the 3rd Annual Rise & Remember celebration at 38th and Chicago in South Mpls this weekend. Visit the event pages to learn all about the various happenings, and come out tomorrow for the Rise & Remember Festival, May 27th at 11am, for a host of family activities at the Square throughout the day.

PASTOR JEN OUT OF TOWN: MAY 30th - JUNE 2nd
Pastor Jen will be out of town Tuesday through Friday of next week to participate in the planning of the ELCA's annual youth gathering. She'll return on Friday. Amy and Renee will be in the office Tuesday and Thursday, and available by email throughout the week.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
May is Mental Health Awareness Month! If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, know that you are not alone. Helpful resources are available to you, like the new suicide or crisis line: 988. This Lifeline provides free and confidential support 24/7 for people in distress; prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones; and best practices for professionals in the United States. You can also find help through the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), with Minnesota-specific supports at www.namimn.org. Don't be afraid to reach out for help!
FREE LEGAL CLINIC at HNA
The Harrison Neighborhood Association is working with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid to provide free legal help every TUESDAY AND THURSDAY from 10am-3:30pm at 1501 Glenwood Ave., Ste. A, Mpls MN. They are able to help with family law, consumer, public benefits, housing, tax, and immigration problems. Walk-ins are welcome, however, appointments are preferred. JUNETEENTH: A CONCERT CELEBRATING FREEDOM
Join the Minnesota Orchestra on Friday, June 23 at 8:00pm at Orchestra Hall to enjoy a musical celebration in honor of Juneteenth, commemorating the emancipation of the last African Americans still enslaved in Texas in 1865. The concert includes Adolphus Hailstork's jubilant Three Spirituals and William Grant Still's Afro-American Symphony, one of the most celebrated American symphonies ever written. Singer Jevetta Steele, performance poet Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and Justice Alan C. Page all lend their voices to this evening of celebration and remembrance.

OPEN STREETS GLENWOOD: JULY 16th at 11am
This is a great event to get to know our neighbors in Glenwood! Redeemer will be providing water and treats along with kids activities and other fun things for the whole family. There will be live music, local food, and beverages. Come on over!

SUNDAY FORUM: SYNOD ASSEMBLY RECAP
Join this year's assembly delegates, Jon & Elizabeth Lauren Roesler and Pastor Jen, on Sunday, June 11th before worship from 9-10am for a conversation about the happenings in our synod and church-wide communities. You can read their report ahead of time here.

J.A.M. CAMP | JUNE 26-29th
8am to 3:30pm daily** | Kindergarten - 5th Graders | $25 per participant
In collaboration with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Edina Community Lutheran Church, and Christ River of Life, campers will engage in activities surrounding topics of social Justice, Arts, and Music. Breakfast and lunch will be offered daily at camp.
The whole family can join in! Volunteers are needed to serve as junior leaders (finishing 6th grade and older) and group leaders. Register below!

REDEEMER DANCE CAMP
6pm on Wednesday Evenings (10 weeks)
For kids ages 6 to 12 | $300 per camper
Send your kids to this summer’s Dance Camp! Each Wednesday evening at 6pm, children will begin to learn the joys of dance as they explore movement in this 45 minute class with Harrison neighbor Manny Bioh (he/they). We will emphasize teamwork and creativity with our young dancers as we will prepare a routine to share with the community across two performances at the end of summer.
REGISTER HERE NOW, and plan to drop the kids off for Dance Camp and join us in the backyard for our weekly cookout. The kids can join in the meal after class!

Luther Park Camp | July 28-30th
Redeemer goes to camp! We invite families, individuals, couples, and families of all kinds to join us during session 5 at Luther Park Camp in Danbury, WI. You may opt to join the family camp programming, or you may create your own retreat. Either way, this is a wonderful opportunity to get away together, so register now and select your options that fit best you!
